I have been scrolling through Pinterest even more than usual in the last week or so. I have found myself typing in the word (that must not be mentioned to my other half before December) Christmas!
This is my 4th Christmas not living with my parents. It will also be the 4th time I have changed my decor. I could never decide on what type of decorations I liked until the January sales early this year. I was in Stratford-upon-avon and everywhere had a sale on their Christmas decorations. There were a few beautiful pieces in The White Company that I picked up, then a few other nice bits in independent shops. I’m aiming to create a Nordic/Scandinavian rustic Christmas. I’m now in a predicament where I have these new beautiful decorations but not much else to go with it! I really need to get my arse into gear and start making and buying bits to put up on December the 1st!
I have put together a Pinterest board but here is my favourite things on there.
This stunning stocking display is a DIY by the lovely girls over on The Merry Thought, which I definitely will be making. They have lots of beautiful and creative DIY’s on their blog and they have also just launched their own Etsy shop.
I created something similar to this last minute last year and I loved it. Its from a blog called Gardenista, on their post about Holiday decor for small spaces. This year I’m going to move on to another wall, plan the pictures and other miscellaneous items ready to go straight up on the 1st.
What does your Christmas decor look like?
