As I have mentioned a few times in past posts, I have a huge love for photography and really want to create more content on the subject on here. So I’m going to start an inspiration series which will feature some of my favourite photographers. The post will have a bit about them and their background, why I like said photographer and some examples of their work.
Im going to start with a recent favourite of mine which I think a lot of you will have already heard of, Rebecca Spencer. She specialises in fashion photography working with top fashion brands like River Island, In The Style, MotelRocks and Maybelline on campaigns. She also works with many amazing well known bloggers including Sarah Ashcroft, Sophie Millner and Nicola Hughes. Rebecca studied photography at London College of Communication and then went on to be the freelancer creative she is today.
Rebecca also runs her own YouTube channel, she uploads vlogs of her week working with different bloggers and brands, she also makes videos on her tips and tricks while shooting and for editing your pictures after. So make sure you go and check her out on there.
I love Rebecca’s work, her pictures are always so beautiful and vibrant. She makes great use of natural light sources and always finds the best locations. She shoots all around London and is lucky enough to work with big brands on campaigns that require her to travel to amazing countries to work too.
Her weapons of choice
Up until very recently she shot on a Canon 7D and Sigma 35mm F1.4 lens and Olympus Pen 7 for Instagram but her 7D broke so she treated herself to the Canon 5D IV. She uses the DJI Osmo 4k Gimbal camera for shooting lookbooks and carries an Instax Mini using the picture as her business cards, which I think is really cool.
